My birthday in Paris

So far and yet, so close to my friends, and to the people from home! It has been a very nice birthday, and its celebration lasted more than one day :P

The first thing was a really nice breakfast with the Indirect Purchasing team here in Delphi, with cookies, juice and coffee. All day long people were coming into my cubical to wish me “Happy Birthday” and at 4 pm (this is a reference hour for the trainees in Delphi), I had a really nice surprise from my dear stagiaires, who came and brought me a very funny present (sorry, no pictures of the present allowed… it’s a secret :P)! After a looong day at work, Miha prepared a surprise dinner party in hour house, inviting Andra and 2 French guys (her flat mates), cooking some fondue du fromage (delicious!), drinking champagne and speaking in French (it’s so easy to do that after some scotch mixed with wine! :P)

This is what happened on the 10th of December :P But the big celebration was on Saturday, when we had a “soiree” (as Miha likes to call it) in our house, where all the trainees from Delphi were invited, plus some other friends, and together with Ada (her birthday is also on 10th :P), we prepared some crepes francaises, sandwiches, and of course, we didn’t forget the wine, punch, beer, in order to make everybody “happy”!
Le Cab was our next destination, one of the fanciest clubs in Paris! Even though we didn’t spend too much time there, it was really nice, we enjoyed ourselves a lot!

So how was my birthday? Weird at first, because I was used to being surrounded by my friends every time, either the ones from Cluj, or from Fagaras, or a mixture of the 2 groups… but it was always them. Now… a bunch of great persons, but people that I’ve met 4 months ago. And on one hand, I was happy to be here with all of them, because they really made my day be incredible, but on the other hand, I missed my friends back home!

Still, I couldn’t believe how many messages I received during that day! Therefore:

- Thanks all my dear friends from Paris for what they did during the entire day (and on Saturday :P)

I am totally sure I forgot some persons… thanks guys! :P I just realized that I sounded like an Oscar Winner, :P, but who cares? :P Still miss you all!

PS: 4 more days till I come back home!
PPS: the craziest girl Ioana Muresan will come in Paris, as trainee in Delphi! We will work in the same company!!!! :P Congrats! Can’t wait to see you here! :P We will be 4 trainees coming from the same LC! :P
PPPS: I am sooo very excited about the New Year’s Party!!! Even if Alex makes me bring French food! We’ll see about that :P
